  1. In 2010, Neal met a representative of the non-profit African Malaika Founder fiona Barretto through the World Computer Exchange. He provided training on the low-cost computer systems for schools and subsequently traveled to Tanzania in support of this work. From 2010 to the present, the following activities were pursued:

In 2011, Neal installed the low-cost computer system at Arusha School and Jane’s Orphanage, Arusha, Tanzania. He did extensive site preparation work at the Dhoombo Orphanage as well but lack of electricity continues to prevent implementation. An exploratory trip was made to a Maasai village near Ngorongoro Crater for potential installation at a small school there. In 2012, Neal installed low-cost computer systems at three additional schools and a student hostel. He also visited 12 new schools to perform on-site evaluations for future installation. In 2013, low-cost computer systems were installed at three new schools. Six schools were evaluated for future installations.
Donated computer equipment was collected and delivered to the schools in Tanzania. Neal and Rene also purchased computer equipment to donate to the schools.
Trainings and collected educational materials were provided to the teachers of schools in Arusha.
